The Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island (“ERSRI”) takes the privacy of its members very seriously. Accordingly, ERSRI has taken steps to protect your private information. 

ERSRI uses encryption software to protect passwords and sensitive private data such as Social Security numbers.

ERSRI collects personal member information for the sole purpose of assisting members. ERSRI is the sole owner of any personal information collected and does not sell, share, or otherwise distribute any personal member information without prior written consent by the member or a court order.

ERSRI is subject to the Access to Public Records Act (APRA). Under the APRA and cases interpreting the APRA, ERSRI is required to disclose certain member information upon written request. You may review ERSRI’s Access to Public Records Request page for additional details.

Email and web messaging are not secure platforms. Information transmitted via email and web messaging may be intercepted by third parties. Therefore, you should not transmit personal information (e.g. Social Security number, account numbers, banking information, etc.) via email and web messaging.
