If you were not eligible to retire as of September 30, 2009 and want to know your new retirement eligibility date, you can visit your account home page and use one of our calculators to determine your new date. Simply login in to your account (or create an account if you have not done so already!) and look under "Your Account Information" and click "Account" . There you'll find calculators for Schedule A, B, Correctional Officers and MHRH Nurses.

As of now, our system only performs on-line benefit estimates for Schedule A and B members eligible to retire as of September 30, 2009. In the near future, members affected by the new changes will be able to perform benefit estimates.

In May 2009,Social Security will distribute a one-time Payment of $250 to Social Security and Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries nationwide.The payments are provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.A leaflet which discusses distribution of the one-time payment in greater detail is available at www.socialsecurity.gov/pubs/10519.pdf

Are you planning to retire within the next six months?   If so, you should schedule an appointment with one of our Member Services Counselors to go over your different retirement options and make sure everything is in order to make your retirement as smooth as possible.

Appointments are available at our Providence location at 40 Fountain Street  OR,  from October to May you can schedule an appointment at an outreach location.  Once you schedule an appointment, we will send you a packet of information with necessary forms and instructions on what you need to bring.

Appointments are scheduled in 45-minute increments, beginning at 8:30 a.m.  The last appointment of the day is 3:15 p.m. In peak season, appointments may be available at 4 p.m.
